My research lives at the meeting point of art, health, and social change. Working across disciplines, I have collaborated with architects, designers, clinicians, and community practitioners to explore how creative processes can reimagine spaces of care and belonging.

As both artist and art psychotherapist, I am interested in how environments — physical, emotional, and cultural — shape our capacity to heal and connect. My projects often ask: how can creativity influence the way we design spaces for wellbeing? How might art invite new ways of seeing and being together?

Through participatory research, exhibitions, and socially engaged practice, I investigate the role of the arts in fostering empathy, resilience, and collective agency. My work values the conversations that emerge between disciplines — where materials, ideas, and people intersect to create new understandings.

I see research not only as an academic pursuit, but as a lived, relational practice — one that honours both evidence and experience, rigor and imagination. At its heart, my work seeks to make visible the subtle, transformative ways that art can support healing, shape communities, and reimagine futures grounded in care.

I regularly speak at conferences, give artist talks and write for various publications. Most recently I have spoken at Global South Arts and Health Week conferences in Rio de Janeirno, Doha and Ghent.
